LED watches - RIC HARVEY - 07-14-1999 Hi there all, I am a collector of "older" HPs with LED displays, and LED display watches. I have 2 38Es, one 38C, one 22 and a 25. LED display HPs are rather scarce in South Africa. In one of my 38Es, the display "ribbon connector" to the circuit board has become brittle and snapped in half, thereby disabling the display - otherwise the calc works fine - apart from the seriously injured display! Is there any way of getting a new display / circuit board ribbon, etc? What is the best / cheapest way of repairing this fault? My next question is rather dumb for a calc site, but can anyone out there give me web sites dedicated to LED watches. I know HP made the HP01 LED watch - never seen one in S.A. though. Please help!!! Many thanks. . . look forward to your replies. Ric

Re: LED watches - Steve Simpkin - 07-14-1999 Try this page: http://home.att.net/~vintageelectronics/ It is entirely devoted to the history of LED watches. It is part of: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Park/7227/ which is an excelent site for calculator history as well. Sincerely, Steve Simpkin
