Can I assume a Spice Calc with S/N 22xxxx is soldered? - Ernst Fueloep - 01-10-2011 Hi, Can I assume a Spice calculator with a serial number of > 22xxxx is a soldered model? Is it known at which serial number production of the Spice family switched from solderless to soldered? Thanks.
Regards, Re: Can I assume a Spice Calc with S/N 22xxxx is soldered? - Randy - 01-10-2011 No and no.
The simple solution is to weigh the unit without batteries. IIRC, ~140 grams is soldered, ~175g is solderless.
