HP 41C and CV boards with some piggy backing from the factory - Geoff Quickfall - 03-18-2010 Further to my queries below, and thanks for all the help from everyone. Just to let you know, I do have an orphan CV board which will donate the LCD panel (functioning of course) and the: 1LE7 0001 THROUGH 1LE7 0005 to a "with all bugs, tall keys, contact balls" 1979 HP 41C with a bad D/S. This will give it a CV memory while saving the bugs which is the intent. Here are five pictures of two C pcas and three CV pcas: The "with all bugs, tall keys, contact balls" 1979 HP 41C with a bad D/S:
An HP 41C circa 1981:
An HP 41CV circa 1981 no piggy backing:
A 1982 HP 41CV with all six D/S chips piggy backed located at the top:
A 1983 version with two piggy backed D/S chips:
Now I know what piggy backing is (what a neophyte!)
================================================== Here is the project: remove the yellow highlighted D/S chips on this HP 41C:
remove the yellow highlighted D/S chips on this HP 41CV and install them on the HP 41C board above with one chip piggy backed near the top for case clearance (thanks Eric, Randy and Jim):
If you see any problems with this YELL as I won't be doing it today ;-)
