hp49g+/hp48gII advanced user's reference manual - David Dyte - 11-04-2008

I was looking for a nice, lengthy reference for the 50G, but this is the closest I could find at hp.com. How different are the command sets of these machines? Are they identical?

Thanks for any help!

- David

AFAIK they are closely related - so closely that the 49AUM is really helpful. The RPL gurus here will tell you the differences.

Any instance where you see "hp49g+/hp48gII", simply substitute "50g" and you're good to go.

I have a 49G+ and a 50G. They both have the same ROM version running.

I don't think there are any differences between the 49g+ and the 50g that would affect this manual. The 49g+ and 50g run the same software build. There are some minor differences between the hardware:
(3 AAA batteries .vs 4)
(50g can be powered via USB)
(50g supports RS232 to some degree)
(50g can handle FAT32 while there are some issues on the 49g+ ???)
(and of course the 50g black color scheme is way cool)

Anyone out there please correct me if I am wrong.
