50g and 82240A printing - MikeO - 08-29-2008

I can't find anything in the 50g manual (no surprises there I guess) about printing to an IR printer.

I've seen some posts that other folks have used an HP50g and an 82240A printer successfully. I've set the following flags:
33 and 34 to IR mode. I've run the OLDPRT command. I exceute the PRST command - nothing.

Am I still missing something

Thanks,
MikeO

Whoops. I got it working. Just had to move it three inches away from the printer! My 17BII can be three feet away and print. Guess I got used to that.

Mike, the short IR range of the 49G+ and 50G is pretty well known and deservedly criticized. The behaviour you have identified is regrettably normal.
