HP 71B adapter and RPN - michael mcgrath - 02-10-2008 Hello,
I have been searching eBay for an adapter AC for my 71B. Is there any other place to get one? Also, Ive heard there is an RPN program which can give the 71b RPN calculator. Any advice on where to obtain it and how to install?
Re: HP 71B adapter and RPN - Garth Wilson - 02-10-2008 The AC adapter is the same one that came with the little printer, tape drive, IEEE-488 interface converter, RS-232 interface converter, etc..
Re: HP 71B adapter and RPN - George Bailey (Bedford Falls) - 02-10-2008 There's a LEX file called RPNLEX. It gives basic RPN functionality to your 71B.
If you don't have HP-IL, try this link which explains the use of DUMPLEX/MAKELEX.

Re: HP 71B adapter and RPN - Maximilian Hohmann - 02-10-2008 Hello!
Quote: There exists a ROM Module called "41 Translator" (part number 5061-7269) that makes the HP-71 compatible to the HP-41 and thereby converts it to an RPN calculator. It is easily installed by inserting it into one of the ROM slots ... but much less easily obtained ... (mine comes from an internet auction, but I had to buy a whole calculator and a number of other accessories in order to get it. I have gone on holiday with the family for less money.)

Finding RPNlex - michael mcgrath - 02-11-2008 thanks for the info. As I understand I can input dumplex and makelex into the 71B. But where can I get rpnlex? Can I input that as well?
Re: Finding RPNlex - George Bailey (Bedford Falls) - 02-11-2008 Read about lexfl1.lif and EMU71 in the above linked thread. Google and download EMU71 and lexfl1.lif and follow the instructions in that said thread. Closely follow Egan Ford's explanations. Input DUMPLEX into your EMU71, MAKELEX in the HP 71B real thingy...and then RPNLEX by way of MAKELEX into your real 71B. (Hint: RPNLEX is in lexfl1.lif.)
