Can someone tell what batteries that I can put in my HP 33E calculaor. I have one that need batteries. I also have two HP 41C's, but they take N size batteries available at Radio Shack. I can find any info on the batteries for an HP 33E.

Thanks

I don't think that's what you meant, but some perusal of the main page of this web site would have led you to this link:

As you'll find when browsing the content under the above link, battery packs for Spice-series models utilized two 1.2V rechargeable NiCd AA cells without posts, jumpered and tied together in a holder (two different designs) that can be inserted only the correct way. The cells are shorter than standard-length AA cells (rechargeable or not), which will break the fragile battery terminals.

NiCd AA cells pre-installed with connector tabs and no posts can also be purchased at Radio Shack and installed in the factory cell-holder. I've never seen NiMH cells of similar design. However, the standard HP charger would overcharge NiMH cells anyway, to my understanding.

If the battery terminals are already broken, you can insert standard-length NiMH AA cells (available at Radio Shack) into the compartment and jumper them with aluminum foil. Charge them externally.

Disposable cells are rated at 1.5V, so they'll put out a modest overvoltage.
