I have had my HP11C for years! It has been the best calculator I have ever owned. Just recently I turned it on and noticed that the comma and the period are swapped. Example, 1111.1111 will display as 1.111,110 - operations perform without errors...it is just the display. I have run the self test (the "ON" and "x" key) and there are no errors. I have also run the keyboard/display test ("ON" and divide key) pressing all keys as stated in the user manual and get the proper display "11" at the end. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is there a cure? Sure hope so! :-) Would love to keep using it, but the display is annoying. Thanks. PJ.

Try <ON> <.> at the same time

Thanks for the suggestion. Although I had searched the forums here I missed one from "Message #2 Posted by Vieira, Luiz C. (Brazil) on 2 Jan 2005, 4:48 p.m." who responded to another issue but mentioned using the (ON and "-"). He stated this clears the memory. And it worked! If this happens again I'll try the "ON" and "." but the the "ON" and "-" worked!

Thanks Luiz! I would sure have hated to lose the use of this calculator...I've told my friends who kid me about using it that it was the only really useful thing my ex-husband left me with!
