Does anyone know anything about the brand new hp-41cx being sold on Ebay. I have seen at least 10 to 20 per month in the last 2 years.
They are new old stock and all are UK sellers... what is the story behind them?. Were these units hidden, lost, forgotten .. stolen ?

These units were stored somewhere and basically or practically forgotten. They surfaced recently and were selling on eBay. They are unused and new units.

I've only noticed the UK 41CX sales on eBay recently, but I've only seen 1 or 2 per month, not 10. Maybe the stock is getting low? I'd love to have one of those UK New-In-Box 41CXs, but the going price is outrageous. There was one sold back in June for $651.99. Ouch. I bought 2 of these from this seller about a year and a half ago. I paid considerably less than the $600+ USD noted in the previous post. Both arrived in new, old stock condition. I saw one go for about $950 once -- pick your battles on ebay and you'll do OK.

Both appear to operate just fine. I bought one as a backup for my trusty but aging 41CX, and the other I bought, well, as a backup for the backup. My wife took a somewhat dim (but ultimately tolerant) view of this, but she simply doesn't understand why one cannot be without one's 41CX!
