With my "Emu41" (thanks Jean-Francois !!!!) I can't work with these settings:

[MODULES]
; page size filename
0 12 Rom41-CX.bin
3 4 XFuns-CX.bin
5 8 Time-CX.bin
6 4 Prter1E.bin
7 4 ILmod-1H.bin
8 8 Ccd-b.bin
A 12 Adv1B.bin

All it's OK if I set only CCD or only Advantage at page 8.

Are CCD and Advantage modules compatible?
Thanks for any info.
(remove all "_NOSPAM_" from my e-mail address)

Sorry for bad layout.

The settings are:

[MODULES]

0 12 Rom41-CX.bin

3 4 XFuns-CX.bin

5 8 Time-CX.bin

6 4 Prter1E.bin

7 4 ILmod-1H.bin

8 8 Ccd-b.bin

C 12 Adv1B.bin

Thanks again

Hi,

my suggestion is to use the CCD OS/X file

from TOS instead of the normal CCD-B.

This way you'll have all the CCD OS extensions nad more,

but without duplicated matrix stuff.

Apart from that, the CCDD (or CCD OS/X)

only uses one 4K block, not two.

Just take a look at TOS (The Other Site)

Raymond

Hi Claudio,

What problem did you get? CCD and Advantage use same ressources (buffer number, X-M files, ...), so it is not recommended to mix matrix functions of both modules. Apart of that, it should possible to install both of them in the same machine.

But I agree with Raymond, the best configuration is CCD OS/X + Advantage.

With this .ini:
8 8 Ccd-b.bin
A 12 Adv1B.bin

the output of CAT 2 is:
-EXT FCN 2D
-CX EXT FCN
-TIME 2C
-CX TIME
-PRINTER-
-MASS ST 1H
--
-CTL FNS
-W&W CCD B
-ARR FNS
-HEX FNS
-I/O FNS
-ADV FNS
-XF/M FNS

If I switch the 2 modules with this .ini:
8 12 Adv1B.bin
A 8 Ccd-b.bin

the output of CAT 2 is:
-TIME 2C
-CX TIME
-PRINTER-
-MASS ST 1H
-CTL FNS
-ADV CONV B
-ADV MTRX
-ADV MATH
-ADV TVM
-EXT FCN 2D
-CX EXT FCN

You can see that I can have or CCD or Adv, but not all two together.
CCD OS/X is a great module, but I can't understand why the
old CCD-B can't work with Advantage. They have different page,
different XROM numbers, so ........ why..????

Claudio,

Have you tried using "10" instead of "A" to denote the second module location?

Regs,
ÁM

You're right, Angel, of course. I didn't notice it ...

Wow...was too much obvious!!!
(shame on me) :-((

Anyway I thank all for your help.
