Hi there!

I own a HP 49g+ Calculator and I have a problem:

When I bought it, i wanted to test it and calculated the factorial of 1000. No problem, after 30 seconds I had the result with all digits.
But now, 2 days later, if I want to calculate this factorial again, the calculator only shows 9E499 or shows the "Overflow"-Error if system flag 21 is turned on.

Please help me!

You may have set it in 'approx' mode; on the top of the screen there should be an 'X'. To the left of it, is there an equals sign, or 2 wavey lines?

Now, I succeeded to do this factorial again! In CAS settings, "Numeric" checkbox was checked.
But thanks nevertheless!

If you want to do factorials, I think someone wrote a "quick factorial" program that does them very speedily.

Yes, I saw it on www.hpcalc.org
It's the FastFactorial 3.00 program
It calculates the factorial of 1000 in one second, showing all the digits.
