Full Version: interfacing a 41 with a 48 thru IR port

Do you think it's possible to send data from the 41 w/IR module to the 48 IR port?
Or has it been done?
If anybody knows how, I'd be interested.
Thanks in advance.

If you search the archives I think there is something in there about doing just what you are asking. There may also be a program to download from one of the HP48 sites on the web too. Randy

Thib,

I think the program you need is available at www.hpcalc.org The program name is INPRT.

Joe

thanks a lot guys, I'll try that!
Thanks again!

Using IR is actually the preferred method of transferring programs from a 41C to your HP-48SX if you happen to be using the HP-41CV emulator card.

Speaking of which, can anybody confirm whether this emulator card is indeed incompatible with the HP-48GX? I believe I read somewhere that it is, but I'm not sure; it works fine in my HP-48SX, but not in my HP-48GX.

Viktor

I cannot confirm by actual trial since I have not plugged mine into a 48GX, but I have read *lots* of people asking either how to make it work on a GX or why it doesnt, and the reply is always the same "It only works on a 48SX".

I bought an SX to go with my card :-)

The Emulator only works in an SX. It would crash the GX. I have the Emulator and both the SX and GX. I can never get it to work with the GX. Inprt works with either calculator to capture output from the 41 IR.

Thanks, folks, that confirms what I suspected!
