Do any of the HP41 emulators out there allow one to load programs from an external ASCII text file? The emulator would need to be either CX or CV+XFUNCTION compatible.
ELI-41 does...

Warren Furlow's V41 for Windows PC allows loading/writing of FOCAL programs in RAW mode. With the User Code Utility from Leo Duran you can handle ASCII text files.

There is a HP-41CX emulator for palm that supports all that.
Take a look at:

I guess you can get V41 to do all that, but you´ll need to find some other support programs.
I was needing it to run on a PC (DOS or Windows). Basically I have a compiler type program that would generate a HP41 listing that could be loaded into the emulator for further modification and debugging before it would be transfered to the real machine.
Two options:
1. V41, at a site that can´t be listed here. contact me at r_toi at yahoo dot com.
2. You can run p41cv under windows, using a palm emulator.

And I wondered about that "can't be listed here" thing too. Inquiring minds want to know, so drop me a note at the email address above and help out my ignorance.
Have a look at J-F Garnier's EMU41. You can OUTP a 41 prog to a dos file called emu41out.dat and INP one from emu41in.dat. These .dat files are ascii but not really human readable - they are ascii hex codes.
You need to select the DOSLINK device, and need the EXTIO ROM image, for this.
