If you transplant a HP-12 LCD in that 16C you get a "cheap" 16C for the death of a 12C... ;-)
The newer 12C’s were redesigned with a different pin-out, the LCD’s are not at all compatible. But, if you had a good logic board and a bad case, it might make sense as the case,keys and bezel looked to be in good shape.
and if you have a trashed 12c with a good screen of that type you're out nothing, or nothing except having to bid more than one well known sniper.
