I just obtained a card reader for my 41-CX. I also have quite a few programs saved in my x-memory modules. Does anyone know of a way I can store my programs in x-memory directly to a card instead of having to load the program into memory and then run the card reader?

Thanks

Hi;

there is no "conventional" function that allows data already recorded in magnetic cards to bypass user RAM and go straight to extended memory in the HP41 or the opposite. At least there is no such possibility neither with the X-functions nor with the card-reader's functions set. If other extra, non-conventional modules such HEPAX, CCD ROM, PPC ROM or any other allow this operation, I do not know about it.

I have both X-Functions module and card reader, I never saw this sot of allowance. unfortunately.

Cheers. Sorry for the bad news.

Thanks Luiz for the information. I suspected as much, but I was kind of hoping that someone had written a little routine for doing the file switching. I haven't had the time lately to look into trying to write something because I haven't fully read the card reader manual yet. Plus, I need to re-read the section on extended memory in my HP-41CX manual.
