Hi,
I've uploaded a new set of Qt emulators to sourceforge. They now support an option in Preferences/Display to use real fonts instead of bitmaps and a new skin, "Modern" with the same look as the iOS emulator.
The goal is of course to support such a nicer display on iOS as well but for debug & ease of delivery, I've started by implementing it on the desktop versions first.
Let me know what you think and especially which bugs you find before I start the iOS implementation.
Hi,
there's a small problem with the new real fonts:
The emulator always starts with these new fonts, no matter what you set in the settings dialog.
Even manually entering "UseFonts"="false" in the registry doesn't work - at the next start the fonts are back and this registry entry is changed to "true" again (even after switching it off in the settings).

I haven't used the Qt emulator yet. Do I have to build it or is there a windows executable on sourceforge?

I've uploaded a new version which should fix this.
I just noticed a problem with font scaling on the Windows version only. Fonts are much nicer on Linux & OSX.
I'll try to find a solution.
The new version should look better on Windows.
Also, every key has now a tooltip with its keyboard shortcut.

Switching the tooltips OFF in the settings doesn't work: the registry key is set to 'false' but the tooltips are still displayed after a restart.

Funny because I tested this one but you are right. I'll fix it tomorrow.
A line had mysteriously disappeared. It should be fixed now.

I hope the "direct" access to the h shifted keys are not there
in the touch iOS Version. I think that would be difficult
to use on such a small screen ...
The font selection is a nice goodie though ...
Thanks
Ralf

Why don't you try the iOS version? And no, the direct access to h-shifted key is not there.

Actually I had the iOS Version at first and then installed your
new Version of the Emulator, thats why I thought the direct access
is a new feature ... Sorry for the "false alarm" ...
Thanks
