I have bought a 15C LE. But I am not very happy with it. Self test is not working in correct way. It doesnt matter, if calculation is okay. But today I found ot, that the programm "Display Format Control" (you can find it in the actual handbook and also in that one from the 80s)does not work correctly. The steps from 9....0 are not shown correctly. After starting you see "0" after some sec only.

The old calculators are running correctly. Also the emu on my iPhone 4s.

In my opinion the 15C LE is a "Made in China" product. If you like this calculator type, try to get one made in the 80s.

Kind regards
Uli

Try the procedure described at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01788371&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=81575. It applies to the HP 15c LE as well.

Hope this helps.

Gerson.

No kidding? :)

BTW: Any news, over-hearings, or something about this model current production?

A couple of weeks ago I dropped the one I use from my desk, and it formed like a small groove in the metallic face plate, so I´m really considering buying another one. Should I run for it, or I still can take my time?

Just an observation but it seems to me for most of last year the HP-15C le could be had for 120 to 130 dollars from several sellers. Took a look around tonight and it seems that they are now listing for 169 dollars.
