We are planning to spit out a 'final' V2.2 release of WP 34S as a ZIP file. I have made a few crucial modifications to the power saving scheme (finding more bugs in the process than I'd like to admit). Chances are high that I screwed something up so I kindly ask you to update your 20b or 30b and use it to tell me what needs to be fixed. Please no ideas what should be added because new functions are exclusively planned for the next release! I'm talking about bug fixing here.

At present, the overlay works fine with one exception: x<>y in the f and g shifted planes. In normal mode, they generate y<> and z<>. But don't cry out too loud too early! ;-) The functions a->x and x->a are still on the keyboard: Just switch to alpha mode and the functions are mapped to their positions marked on the overlay. I would like to leave this in as a compromise and not change the mapping back to what it was in V2.1.

I'm ready for testing! Is it up already?

As usual in SVN. I don't think it's ripe for being zipped.

In the beginning I didn't like this idea. Now, after having played with it a bit, I think this is how it always should have been! It's the most intuitive solution I can think of!

To make the keyboard appropriately reflect this function switch I am thinking of printing a tiny [y<> and z<>] label on a paper sticker and putting it above the key beneath the [GRAD]. Is the artwork already updated with this?
