Just wondering. What proportion of HP calculator collectors are other than ex-users of these calculators?

When I say ex-users, I mean people who used these calculators when you only bought a TI if you couldn't afford an HP :-)

I wonder what happens when we've all gone to that great HP factory in the sky?

Once we go to the great HP factory in the sky, we will be turned away and sent to the great unemloyment office in the sky... along with all the other Carlyized ex HP employees.

Hi;

since collecting HP calculators became a profitable market, mostly because of obvious reasons (quality, brand heritage, price X benefits rate, etc), I believe just a few users are fierce collectors. I cannot think of my 13 calculators as just put-to-stand and look (I remember Toy Story II). How come an HP calculator not being used? That's what they're for, Good Lord! Being used. In great style. I cannot let them stood still as statues.

That's why I believe users will seldom become collectors. I will not.

(About the big HP factory in the sky... do they accept reservations?)

steve; two things: 1) around here many well meaning but missguided people who couldn't afford hp's bought national semiconductors too. i don't know why. it's amazing how much money can be freed up by eating ramen noodles and potatoes for a month. & 2) happy 565th month birthday.
