Thank you to everyone who put the HHC conference together this year. To those whom I won door prizes - thank you!

I second that!

I haven't had so much fun in a long time. I'd go so far as to say it was a "peak geek" experience. :)

Even my wife, who, although a programmer for decades, is decidedly not a calculator geek, enjoyed herself. She and Geoff Quickfall really bonded.

Not that I'm jealous.

The SR-60 actually survived the trip (it was DOA, but a chip press restored things) and was on display for folks to play with, which they seemed to enjoy (except, of course, for those darkly muttering "Heresy!" under their breaths). Perhaps next year I'll bring the 9810, then the 20, then the 30...

That TI thing is cool! As far as correct HP partisanship, the fact that it's so difficult to keep running makes me feel comfortable enough. :)

I'd love to see more of your desktop collection!

The Conference was a sucess and very intense. We had so much to talk about and plan for the future. HP was very much involved and I believe we greatly increased the number of WP 34S machines because everyone was able to (at least) repurpose an HP 20b at the minimum. Eric had overlays and gave a great presentaton on how they evolved and even showed how to best apply them. He continues to research materials and they just keep getting better and better. We worked hard to convince Cyrille and Tim the importance of having future machines overlay friendly.

I think we broke a record on the sheer number of presentations. I have collected the presentations and Joseph will be adding them to the website as soon as I build the file.

The future looks very good for HP Calculators even thougth such a "small" part of the business doesn't seem to be on Managements radar just yet. It is important to remember that what ever happens to calcualtors the HP Name may be licensed. Everyone agrees that to remove "HP" from calculators means THE END.

My presentation (and Neil's too) can be found on http://wp34s.sf.net

But where? Here? http://sourceforge.net/projects/wp34s/files/HHC2011/ shows as being empty to me.

Sorry, must have been a SF glitch. I've uploaded the files again. One (the handout) is still on the way.

Edit: SF said "Done" but the last file is not there. I'll try again when I'm home. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'll now shut down my MacBook and put it into my bag. I need to go up early tomorrow for the trip back to Germany.

I enjoyed it! :-)
