The 48s and sx both have 32k ram base, the sx has expansion slots while the s doesn't. the 48s in plain vanilla form is also a good inexpensive test bed for hardware hacks- or would be if I could find the s series memory hack info (all I can find right now is g series hacks, which sucks because i've got a 48s with a really loose case that is begging for hacking)

The 48sx manuals work fine on the 48s- they are basically the same calc except for the expansion slots.

I'm currently using the aforementioned loose case 48s with data backed up to a 48sx for a math class- but that' sbecause it's review math and I am spending class time learning more user rpl.

I apologize, the above post should have gone in the relevant thread- I don't know if it's OE or a bug (given that there's two cases evident)
