The Welsh town of Tenby is staging an exhibition to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Robert Recorde, the inventor of the equals sign.
I note the comment from the curator: “His books are not like maths textbooks that are printed today – they are written in dialogue between a master and a scholar” -- Roo-Man and Joey anyone?
