Hello
I recently bought a new unit 11c on the ebay. I am a frequent user of my old 11c of 1986 that shows orange markings above the numerals. The recent unit shows yellow markings. It has number USA 2331A04119
What is the difference between these 2 units ?

Hello,

you mean the yellow keyboard legends, right?

Your frequently used HP-11C was made 1986 (as you say), and the latter one was mad in 1983.

There's a chance that these units have a totally different inner layout, regarding the pcbs, battery and LCD connections.

Depending on the production year and materials used, colors may vary to a certain degree.

If you compare HP-41CV units of every single production year, you'll notice slightly different keyboard legend colors, too;-)

Hi;

I have two HP16C´s. In one of them (oldest) the [f] functions are printed in pale yellow, and in the other one (newest) they are in fairly visible orange. Both are US-made.

Cheers.
