In April last year Katie posted how the g ENTER in the 12c+ brings up the threefold menu "1.L 2.C 3.H". It also does basically the same thing on the original 12c platinum (AND on its clone called VICTOR) and on the newer platinum where we get a fourfold menu!! Something we missed all those years ago when the platinum first came out (2003?).

Hi.

The 12C platinum 25th anniversary edition (CNA64311xxx) shows fourfold menu as follows.

So what does it do? (the menu).

Pressing (1) does an LCD test. It lights up all segments then allows you to press Rv to light up half of the segments, then Rv again to see the other half.

Pressing (2) computes a ROM the checksum, then press ENTER to see the version number, then ENTER again to see the copyright message.

Pressing (3) starts a keyborad test. You then need to press every key at least once in any order to complete the test. Each key press will turn off 1 to 4 (I think) segments on the display.

Pressing (4) seems to do a CPU check of some sort. (The 12C+ doesn't have this test.)

Thanks.
