Thanks Gene! I'm sure Richard will do a *great* job. ;)
Finally, the grandmaster of editors endeavours a new episode of HP-calculator related writing!
In his late phase, he appears to follow in the steps of Henry Horn, who took care of the HP Key Notes in the late 70s and early 80s.
I hope he will be able to accomplish his philosophy of user-involving publishing he ever wanted to. In contrast to the 80s where internet was a highly sophisticated project for a very minority, nowadays Richard will have a lot more opportunities to spread his ideas. Indeed, these are very welcome in an era where we have the technology to share information in a pace never seen before. However, likewise as with the internet in the 80s, there is a lot of work to do in terms of the quality of contents.
Hopefully, Richard will find the adequate balance between user-proximity and commerce in the HP-environment. He has a lot to contribute, and I am very curious about his role as the Editor in this newsletter.
I wish him the best of luck in his new position!
