I was wondering if anyone knew if I purchase the PC connectivity pack for the hp-48gx would I have trouble using it on my old 48sx?
Thanks.

... for the SW. I still use the same cable for connecting my new 48G+ to the PC, but I use the SW that comes with the new connectivity kit. This SW is available et the Hewlett-Packard site. If I am not wrong, it is

If it is not this one, try the Hewlett-Packard site itself and search for it, please. At the graphing calculators section, you`ll se the 49G`s link. Go to the 49G`s page and find the Connectivity Kit. Download the SW and install it. This SW works fine for the 48S/G and 49G.

One of our regulart contributors, Mr. Iqbal Mohamed, uses the Windows Terminal. In fact, it is fast, general-purpose, and works fine.

The new cable is different of the oldest ones. It has a filter (like those found in the VGA sign cable) to suppress noise (computer clock? external EMI?), but the old 48SX cable that I use since 1991 works fine.

Hope it helps.

Cheers.
