Yes indeed. However, the postage would be at least an order of magnitude more than what I'd be willing to offer :-)

How about buying a limited vintage spreadsheet machine for USD12,800?

surely it's ok to bid lower where they say "make offer" and that's what they actually expect.

I'm fairly sure there is no rule against ridiculously low (but in this case fair) offers like that. The seller simply gets to accept or reject each offer.

Exactly. But you are limited to three offers per auction, after that, you can't bid on this auction any more. I know, because I've done this several times with a guy who used to place ridiculously high priced calculators on eBay Germany: First offerd 1 Euro, end every time he refused the offer, I increased by one Cent :-) After I had done this several times, he somehow managed to ban me from all his auctions.

All sellers are able to ban buyers (up to 1000 of them) from bidding on any of their auctions.
