Hello.

I didn't find any acceptable explanation (by my own) to the following strange behavior in my 48G+, ver. R. If anyone knows the cure, please post.

When connected to a PC (Win95 with corrected dll) running HP Connectivity Kit (3.04), the computer browser shows the calculator's contents. What bothers me is that it shows every file BUT the last one created,saved in the calculator. I could not believe it first, by trying to find any procedural mistakes, but all attempts to go for the last file resulted in nothing but frustration.

The so "hidden" file may exist anywhere in the calculator (root or any directory). Being the last one saved is enough to hide it from the computer browser. It can be accessed, viewed in the calculator, only the computer browser cannot see it. The only thing that puts it out of the "hidden shell" is creating a new one - something like 123 'TT' STO - and Voillá! a single REFRESH and the new one trade places with the last one. 'TT' is now "hidden".

Did anyone experience this? Is there any need for SW updating? Maybe I missed some discussion about this... Would someone put me up to date?

Thanks.

I use hyperterminal, to communicate with my GX and never had a problem. The software comes with windows.
I tried the HP connectivity kit once, without success and never tried it again. So I can't offer an explanation, only an alternative.

Hello, Iqbal;

thanks for the suggestion, my friend. I'll give it a try soon.
