Boy, it is a good thing I have decided to stop buying.
The seller is in Edmonton, and fellow Canadian, and not having to contend with customs certainly inspires more liberty in my bidding :)
The buyer is from Japan. I think we have discussed here before that non-North American eBayers find certain prices very reasonable that Canadian and Americans regard as steep. I know from experience that if I am in a bid battle with a European, I will usually lose--the European always seems willing to spend more.

With a pint of beer costing more than USD 10 in a pub in Norway, we are more used to digging deep in our pockets :)
