Full Version: hp25C STOring numbers in REGister 0

Hello members,

I acquired an hp25C that has the following problem: When storing a number in register 0 and then turning the calc off. On turning it on again, it shows the number as being that number raised to EEX 40.

Example: 1.2 STO 0. Turn the calc off, and then on again and do a RCL 0, the number is now displayed as 1.2000000 40.

The other registers (1 to 7) are displaying the numbers stored okay.

I assume this is beyond repair.

Any one seen something similar?

Regards,

Johannes

Most likely cause is a bad RAM chip, but it could be corrosion on the circuit board. Try cleaning the board with a stiff brush and 91%+ alcohol.
