HELP for the HP-42X Emulator
By Erik Ehrling
(Sweden). Any comments or suggestions are very welcome!
This program provides a help screen for key mappings for the HP-42X. By
using a minimal 3x3 font the key-mappings that are most hard to
remember are "printed" to the upper area of the LCD.
Usage:
Just run HELP. (The stack contents are preserved).
Example:
- On the top row key-mappings that are different to the key legends
printed on the HP-48 are displayed. For example SHIFT+STO equals
COMPLEX. SHIFT + EVAL equals % while EVAL unshifted equals RCL... and
so on for NXT, +/-, EEX and DEL.
- In the middle all the menus mapped to 0-9 and +, -, x and / are
displayed.
- At the bottom row a display equal to the TOP.FCN is shown as well
its shifted functions.
Technical notes:
- All key-mappings are adapted for running HP-42X on a HP-48SX/GX
but the program might also be useful for users running HP-42X on a
HP-49G.
