Today the new version 1.01 of Emu42 was released with an added macro functionality. This will above all be useful for HP-17B(II) and HP-27S users that want to share entered formulas from the solver. By registering keystrokes and replaying them with either realistic or accelerated speed, formulas can easily be entered and then reloaded.

In HP-42S mode the macro functionality can be used for repetitive tasks such as entering a matrices with several similar rows, entering programs with a program section repeated several times (e.g. unrolled loops) etc.

This new macro functionality  is only incorporated into the Windows version of Emu42 - for users of the Pocket PC version state-files should be prepared on the desktop PC and then transferred to the Pocket PC.
