If the calculator remains turned off, the contents of its Continuous Memory
will be preserved for at least 1 month after the asterisk first appears.

The calculator can be used for at least 10 minutes of continuous program
running after the asterisk first appears.

Note that this time is the minimum available for continuous program
running—that is, while continuously “operating”
(as described in the footnote on page
259). If you are using
the calculator for manual calculations—a mixture of the idle and
“operating” modes—the calculator can be used for a
much longer time after the asterisk first appears.
